How do you repair a burned laminated surface on a cabinet ?

Question:some of the laminat is burned through to the wood, some is just loose

Answers:
The only way I know to repair that is to replace it. You can replace the laminate or the whole counter top. Although the laminate is hard to remove.

A patch will probably look horrible and depending on just what the laminate is made of, may not work at all. Best thing to do is remove the entire laminate and adhere an entirely new piece.
You will have to replace the laminate. Use a hot iron to help loosen the old, and remove it completely. Good luck
I'm in agreeance with everyone else. You have to replace the laminate or portion that is burned. To remove the portion, score the area with a sharp knife then using an iron, heat the surface and remove the burned area. Replace the same way.
