I am building trusses for my 12X12 shed any suggestions?

Question:I have seen some kinda metal hardware that makes it look a little easier.

Answers:
yes there are metal strapping that can be bought at any lumber store or hardware store.these things can help with angles and help to make it stronger.

First, you will want to know what pitch you want to use. Second, you will want to use 2"X6" planks to build the trusses.
Third, there are metal framing fixtures to join the two ends of the trusses together. It is pretty simple to do once you cut your first two or so.
nail two of what ever you use together raise to what you want the picth to be then use that one for a model you lay the other wood down on that . they will al be the same... you should be able to use 12 footer and raise about a foot or a little more should work out just fine... two up one across bottom one brace in the middle
if you've never done it before, make friends with someone who has.
with all the time effort cost in supplies you would need to build them..
my suggestion is to hire out to a truss company and have them build them for you...
might be 15% more in cost per foot then doing it yourself
but its well worth the extra money..
and they will delivery them to you door..
