Which is better ,a round disc sander or a square one?
Question:
Answers:
Some round disc sanders simply rotate. These are better for quickly removing material. Projects that you would use a rougher sandpaper for.
Other disc sanders and square or rectangle sheet sanders use smaller "random orbit" motions that are better for finish work, as it does not leave as many marks. Sheet sanders get at corners much better than round, but the corners of sanding sheets tend to wear out quickly, round sanding discs tend to last longer.
If you are going to do some serious work, you really need one of each or a belt sander and a random.
My husband uses both, really depends on the project you are working on - they even make them for corners - this is their angle ^
just a matter of choice. both good
disc sanders are rotational, they aren't square, therefore a round one is better. perhaps you mean a vibrating pad(orbital) sander, which is better square or rectangular to get into corners better.
depends on the job wood or medal ...the square ones are a little better will not leave as many marks
