What's an easy way to dispose of large pieces of glass (about 3 feet long)?

Question:might not be easy but oh well. I broke a frame and I do have access to a dumpster. Thanks so much.

Answers:
wrap them in several layers of newspaper, and hit it gently with a hammer. You want to break the glass, but not tear the paper.
Once the glass is in smaller pieces, put the paper and glass into a cardboard box and tape up the box so that it does not spill.

Thoroughly vacuum the area, do not sweep it, to remove any tiny shards that may be left behind.

so, take it to a recycling plant, because they accept glass.
Break into smaller pieces and put in garbage or recycling after bagging it.
that's the only thing I can think of is a dumpster... if you meant you do not have access to a dumpster... you could drive into an apartment complex... they always have dumpsters...lol...
Take it to a playground
I think I would put them in my truck, and find a dumpster..

Or as a last alternative a big rubber/plastic trash can. But, You would have to break the glass to fit it in the can.
a little dangerous.
I don't even want to know how you did this.

I would put on a pair of safety glasses, gloves, full clothing (not shorts) and boots or heavy shoes. Then take the glass over to the dumpster with a hammer and have fun.
See if a recycling center will take it. You will probably be paid less or nothing since there is no deposit but I believe they just crush it all together with the bottles.
I would put it near the curb and put a free sign on it. My husband got some curbside glass before to fix a couple broken barn windows. Maybe someone in your neighborhood will need it and take it off your hands for you.
agree with others, smash it to bits, get a hammer bring it to trash can and smash away
Visit a local glass supplier, they always have bins for recycling glass. I'm sure they would let you deposit yours.
