Can anyone recommend a good name brand door lock who also actually makes a night latch??
Question:We used to have an old Yale (night latch) lock on our door for years and now its broke.Yale seems to be a tough name brand to find in the USA when it comes to night latches.Can you give me another name brand to get that would be good?? Please note--I have tried to look up other good brand name such as Schlage and some others but they dont seem to make a night latch.I bought a cheap generic one and it broke in less than a week.Please give me some brand names(that actually make a night latch) that would be good.I would rather get another Yale but they are too tough to find.Thanks.
p.s--It has to be a night latch!!

Yes I know what you are talking about. We had them on our front doors back home. As you pull the door shut behind you, the night latch locks itself. These are not very popular in the US, as most people seem to use deadbolts.

I just "googled" night latch and discovered that it seems to be a British term! Are "deadbolts" the same as night latches?
