What's the best way to plane a board if I don't have a planer?

Question:I have jointer and a table saw so I can straighten out two sides and rip the third, but I need some advice on how to get that four side true

Answers:
You can run the board through the table saw getting the tow edges true to each other. then run it through the joiner and if it does not get all of the board turn it around and clean up the rest of that side then do the same to the other side. then dress up the sides of the board by putting it on the edge and running it through the joiner . Easy if you just try it.

Without a large block plane and a lot of patience or a table samder, nearly impossible.
Using a sharp knife and another block of wood... you could fashion a sort of planer. by fixing the knife blade to the block.

Also depending on the thickness and accurate ness that you want, use saw and sandpaper!!

Sorry i tried...good luck!!
Use a "hand planer". The Amish use them all the time. There
was craftmanship before electricity.
Sometimes ya gotta think outside of the box! You must have a cabinetmaker or lumberyard close to you. Take it to them!
