Answers:
A tenon is a protruding piece of wood that fits inside the mortise. It can be square, rectangular or round. Round ones are made on a lathe or with special tenon cutters. Square of rectangular are usually made on a table saw but can be make with a hand saw or special tenoning jig and router.


It is a projected thing on the end of a board to fit into a slot to make a joint of the other board..like a fitting...
