How do I remove a very thin layer of concrete?

Question:We had more brink installed on our patio and the new brick has a very thin layer (like dust) of the concrete covering the bricks. How would I clean it off? I've tried vinegar.

Answers:
CONCRETE is a mixture of Cement/ Rock/ SAND

CEMENT / MORTAR is a mixture of Lime/ Sand/ Cement

Its not your fault HGTV cant even get it right...

Lesson learned, a professional cleans up his work, this is not what you received for your money, sloppy messy job.

Now you are faced with the fact that if the bricks are used or manufactured used after being washed with acid (which is the only solution second to pressure washing and sand blasting) they will all be RED again or what ever base color they are. If they are just RED clay this will not matter but may change the color slightly.
If they are used forget it, you now will have a RED brick patio. the only thing you can so after this is go back an re-age them which we have had to do a few times for just this reason and both times it was "well it was such a good price"
Before we leave a job the entire area is cleaned, hosed down and all of our associated materials removed.
Try to pressure wash first. Actually call the "hack" that did it to come back to fix it. be cautious though usually these guy (since they clearly didnt know how to do it right the first time) will do more damage than good.

I would start with "CreteNu" which is a mild phosphoric acid and a stiff wire brush on a pole.
Check the do-it-yourself type of home centers. They might have a cleaning product, although... I doubt it. BUT they might have rentals or suggest that you rent a sandblaster. That'll clean your brick up, fast and easy.

Good luck!
call you contractor/mason back. he needs to wash it off with muiratic acid, nasty stuff, not a recommended do it yourself type thing. that should have been part of his job, when it was finished. good luck, hope this helps.
CALL THE WORKMAN AND HAVE HIM CLEAN HIS MESS OR TELL YOU THE PROPER WAY
