Answers:
Try ceramic tile. It so pretty and not too expensive.
Most floor tile have low enough absorbency for outdoor use. If you want to know the specifications, see the Home Depot book, Tiling 123.
glazed ceramic tile with sand grout. looks good, and lasts forever and a day. not cheep clay tile.
spend 3-10 dollars per square foot.
I would also use ceramic tile. Problem is not all ceramic tile is created equal. You need a tile that can handle rain, heat, traffic, and freezing weather. To handle the rain you need a ceramic that has a grit surface so you will not slip. To handle the freezing weather make sure the tile has an absorption rating of 3% or less. To handle the traffic the ceramic should be at least a Class 4.
Porcelain tile is the best for outside tile applications.Ceramic tile cannot handle outdoor freezing conditions.Use porcelain tile with a modified thinset.Make sure your concrete is clean of all paint drywall curing compounds and that the concrete is not a smooth finish or you will have bonding problems. If you have any doubts please read the back of the mortar bag.Use a good anti fracture compound over any expansion joints and cracks curelastic works great for this.
