How do you decorate a small "bed" room with a toilet, washer and shower connected to it?
Question:I have a small room, with my bed and a table in it. Connected to it I got a toilet, sink and shower. How can I decorate it in a feng shui way?
Answers:
It's bad feng shui to have the toilet in the bedroom. Something about "bad air". (Which I can totally understand, who wants that smell in the bedroom?)
You'll need to install either a room screen or a curtain to separate the two areas. I'd go with a curtain, since it'll take up less floor space than a screen. You can suspend a rod from the ceiling, or add extra length to ready made curtains so you can hang them from the ceiling.
A tall plant between the two areas will increase the energy in the room, and a round rug in the walkway/doorway between the two will keep the energy from each area in its place.
toilet and shower in with your bed? Are you in prison? Just kidding...I'm a smartass who knows nothing about feng shui
i suggest putting up a decorative curtain or a nice tri-fold so you can divide between your bedroom and your toilet and shower.
A curtain or screen can help divide the space into two "rooms" and add privacy to the wash area. There are stores that sell curtain rods that mount from the ceiling... Or you can save money and get a length of pvc pipe and suspend it from the ceiling via wire and hooks.
Also, line up three large leafy potted plants on the bedroom side of the curtain- this will provide an additional barrier between the two rooms and up the 'feng shui' feel of balancing the water (wash area) and earth (plants) elements in your space.
