I want to restore some old kitchen press doors?

Question:They are varnished but at this stage covered with ingrained grease and grime..any tips or products that will restore them to
a more presentable appearance

Answers:
Buy some 'Sugar Soap'. And wash down everything you want to paint. Follow the instructions, and when dry give a good sanding. Then apply the required finish.

The product Murphy's Wood Oil soap will get the grease and grime out. It stinks, but it works. Do that, sand it a bit and repaint. Don't re-varnish, it never holds long.
Take them and have them dipped, full size house doors cost about 15 to 20 pounds. It does a brilliant job.
