I printed out pictures on Iron-on transfer paper, but they won't iron onto the shirt. help!?

Question:I printed them on the smooth side and ironed them with the picture facing down on high heat

Answers:
The only thing I could think of is if you printed it on the wrong side. Or if the fabric just wont attach to it. What kind of material is it? Make sure you are holding the iron on long enough too. If you are doing everything the way it says to on the directions I would say its a problem with the paper. Maybe you can take it back?

the material used cannot have had fabric softener used on it.
the material must be freshly laundered first.
what material are you trying to iron it onto?
put the transfer on inside out , then iron it on ,
