Lime away
for lime calcium and rust lime away is a must!
CLR
Kaboom spray and elbow grease.
blast it with a water bazooka that can shoot out one gallon of water every tiime you shoot
Kaboom works real good and it does not smell that bad. It is pretty cheap at Wal Mart.
rust away or soft scrub helps and Clorox clean up any of those
Lime Away - I know I know the name..yes it also works on rust. And works very well. No foul odor and easy on the skin.
put enamel on it...it will take a week to dry but it makes it look brand new!!
When I had this problem, I took an icescraper with a nice plastic sharp edge and scraped it off and it made my tub look good as new. It doesnt harm anything, it basically just chalks off the rusted layer when you scrape it. Then after you get done scraping, spray the tub with some tub cleaner nd wipe down the tub and the remaining residue left from scraping.
Go with some TSP ( i think its tri-sodium phosphate) and a sponge or steel wool (depending on if wool scratches). this made quick work of the blood, motor oil, and brake dust in my tub.
The "R" in the product "CLR" stands for rust. It's made for removing rust.
This stuff called the works is the best. My in-laws had a old claw foot tub they were going to paint, I went and bought the works and scrub-ed it look like new.
