How to treat a raw wood cutting board.?

Question:I need to know how to treat a raw wood cutting boad what do I treat it with

Answers:
Mineral oil - not mineral spirits. Unscented baby oil is the same thing. You'll need to clean it well with dish soap and water followed with white vinegar (disinfectant) or diluted bleach (1 part bleach 10 parts water) after it dries, rub the mineral oil on and let it sit over night. In the morning wipe off any excess oil and wash with soapy water.

You'll need to repeat this process about twice a year - maybe more if you use it a lot.

Good Luck

Go to the hardware store and get some mineral spirits and rub that in 3-4 times, see if they have any cutting board oil, same thing, Good luck.
Use 100 % Mineral Oil. Or called Cutting Board Oil. It's FDA approved, and won't go rancid. That's why you shouldn't use just any oil. A janitorial store will have it, or go to Woodworkers Hardware.com Bye Oh , by the way, Mineral Spirits and Mineral Oil are two different things. Mineral Spirits is Paint thinner, and you wouldn't want to be treating your food things with it! Bye again
You can rub Olive oil into it or you can purchase chopping board oil from some kitchen appliance shops
