How to start a bonsai tree?
Question:trying to start one

Take a look at the Bonsai Care page on my site:
http://www.american-bonsai.com . Hope it helps.
First, you have to decide if you want to keep it inside or outside, then figure out which species of tree is best for you. You'll see that on my site, they are divided between indoor and outdoor. Good luck!

Buy a sapling and plant it outside to give it a chance to mature. Once mature you can transfer it to a pot. In general water once per day but not too much. You don't want to damage to root system. Springtime is a good time pull the tree from the pot and check out the roots. Trim as needed. You really should do some research before you dig it. While growing them can be rewarding you need to know what you are doing to get the best results.
