Picnic table, green treated wood, need to stain?

Question:i am building 2 picnic tables from green treated wood
actually rebuilding the old ones look bad and need replacing but i was wondering if staining or sealing the wood is needed? what would help it last the longest and look good?

Answers:
I would not suggest green treated wood for a picnic table. The chemicles are toxic. Very toxic from arcenic to what have you. Most will be gone in about a year of weathering and then you can paint it..The smell is not that great either. Your call

i
i recommend you wait 1 year before staining.
Pressure treated lumber has some chemical not safe for
for children.
Cedar would have been my choice

If possible place a tablecloth over it to protect the food from contamination
