How to remove hardening left over grout on ceramic tiles easily?

Question:Hi,
After grounting 16x16 ceramic tiles on my floor at night, I left home the next morning for a two day business trip (did not have much time to clean up before leaving). Now, the left over or access sanded grout on the tiles is harden and tough to clean. Is there an easy way to remove them without damaging the tiles? Thanks!

Answers:
muratic acid is the best thing to use

Removing grout residual is usually done with an acidic based cleaner, before using any harsh chemicals try vinegar diluted 5-1 with water, if that doesn't work then purchase some sulfamic acid crystals, and dilute with water according to the manufacturers instructions, you can find this product at most local hardware stores, if not then you can purchase a similar product called grout haze remover, online at www.groutdye.com

if your tile is polished marble
there is grout haze remover but that might not work b/c its been a couple days. i would say muratic acid is your only hope. should have kept that sponge nice a clean and you wouldnt have had this problem.
