How do I patch the hole in my room that I fell in through?
Question:I went in the attic to run a Ethernet cable from my roommates room to mine and we didn't want the cords just running across the floor or the ceiling so we ran it through the attic. While I was up there everything was fine until my knee slipped off of the beams and it landed on the drywall ceiling and I almost fell through. Now there is a 3 foot by 4 foot hole in my bedroom ceiling. How to do I repair this fast before my landlord sees it?

He he.. gotta love that falling through floors thing...
You are going to have a heck of a time trying to match it. I think you should just suck it up and talk to your landlord.
i agree.. matching it will b tuff but u'r gonna have to cut out a sq. & re-sheet it then paint over it .
Ask at the hardware store on the sheet rock & tape/mud... & u'll probably have to re-paint the whole ceiling so it matches in color. U landlord may not notice then but may appreciate the NEW paint job on the ceiling. :)
btw. u'r not alone in falling thru the ceiling from the attic.
It is best to let your landlord know what happened, then agree to pay for the costs for the repair.
To attempt a repair without letting the landlord know will only cause you problems when you are ready to vacate the apartment as any repair attempt will be very noticeable.
Good luck.
Buy a small sheet of drywall ( Plasterboard) Cut the hole into a rectangle, and fit the new one into the space. Nail it on to the joist. Go into the attic with a stiff mix of plaster, and apply over the cracks. After an hour the plaster will have set. Shave off the surplus that has oozed through. Next day skim the plaster-hole using a straight edge of wood to keep the levels.
