I need help please!? i am trying to refinish a clawfoot bathtub because my husband is to cheap to pay?


Question:so i will try to do the work myself i am not new to home improvement i have done alot of remolding on my house but this is my first castiron tub i am sure i can do this just need some help on how to get started the inside of the tub is in pretty good shape it is the outside that really needs all the work so if someone could help me i would be so happy ! thanks so much.

1. Hit husband on head with large rubber hammer intil he goes unconscious
2. Run out and buy new identical tub and replace old one
3. Yell "TA-DAAAAA" when he wakes up and sees newly finished tub in bathroom
4. Hide credit card bill until its paid off

1. you need some good strong arms
2. you have to disconnect the drain from the tub
3. move tub outside and there you can work on it
remember these tub are heavy so get some help

don't understand why someone would tell you to take bath outside. I could have done that I'm 3 storeys up! Just wash paint and there you go.
easiest way is go to Lowe`s and get their kit to redo tubs!
