Can self stick tiles be put on walls?
Question:in order to prevent them from falling off, I was planning on using vinyl adhesive. also, to prevent the moisture from getting under them, instead of laying them touching each other, how about spacing them a bit and grout them same way as ceramic tiles.
Answers:
If you use 3M 99 spray adhesive on the wall...then let it tack up for about 30-45 seconds...you will not have to worry about them falling off. The grout idea...not so good. The water from the grout will make the tiles lift on the edges.
I once put mirror tiles on an entire wall(hey, i was young) and it wasn't a problem...no on the grout though
good thinking here. (a) DONT put adhesive under them, they make a primer special for peel n sticks that would work. should be in the flooring dept. second you can totally grout the tiles but you need to use a special kind of grout called "epoxy grout" the epoxy in it bonds to the vinyl and will actually waterproof you floor, or in your case wall. little bit expenive it comes premixed for about $25 for about 100ft2. space the tiles just like you would reg. ceramic.
