How do I cut a hole in the middle of ceremic tile. for the faucet?

Question:I'm using a roto zip.

Answers:
Go to Home Depot or Lowes and in the tile section they sell a diamond hole cutter that goes into your drill. It cuts a perfect hole for plumbing pipes. The price is between $15-$20.

You'll have to go purchase a tile cutter for a drill. It is a round bit with rough edges. Look in the tile section of Lowe's or Home Depot, or even go to a tile store.
Either Home Depot or Lowes has bit for that tool and for that purpose. And it's not hard or expensive.
If you don't have any extra's to practice on, purchase a piece or two at the store when buying the bit.
is the tile loose, or already installed?
It may be easiest to guide the rotozip with a template or a straight edge. Since the hole in the tile is likely covered by a flange plate you may be able to get away with a square hole.
Draw the shape of the desired hole on the tile and drill a hole at one or all corners of that square. clamp a straight edge on the tile so it will act as a guide while you rotozip each side. When complete you should have a clean hole to work with.

To get a clean circle you may be best off with a drill/hole saw.
The easiest way is to use a 11/2" carborundum hole saw.
