How much concrete will it take to pour slab 30 ft.by 20ft.by 4 inches thick?

Question:

Answers:
7.5 yrd`s or 200 cu ft. or 400 bags @ 66lb/bag. don`t forget the gravel base unless you don`t care about cracking in the winter. And metal reinforcement.

7 3/4 yds.
You are looking at approx 7-1/2 yards. I would order 8 and maybe go a little deeper. Make sure to use some sort of reinforcement like wire mesh or old fencing. good luck.
For future reference the formula is: Length x Width x Depth / 27 = Cubic Yards. Always add about 10 percent so you don't run short.
7 1/2 yds

1cuyd=27cu ft
your measure is 30ftx20ftx1/3ft=200cu ft
7.33333yds to on the money but id def order 8 to make sure u have enough. length x width x thickness divided by 27. also use fiber mesh and pour at least 3500 psi mix. i dont like using wire because while youre pouring the crete u usually walk on the wire and push it to the bottom. fiber mesh is throughout the whole mix.
Length X Width divided by 27 X Thickness = Yards of concrete needed.
20'X30'=600 sq ft. Divided by 27(cubic feet in a yard)=22.22 cubic ft. Times .333 ft (4"/12"=.333 ')=7.4 cubic yards.
