Does a 130v light fixture require special wiring?
Question:i have an italian made light fixture that came with a 500w, 130v bulb. I have the light wired to std electric, which i assume is 110v. is it ok to use a 130v bulb?
Answers:
If you look at the "long-life" bulbs in the stores, they are all 130 volt. running at 110-120 volts, the light is dimmer, the elements are cooler, and the bulbs last longer.
yep...enjoy...u are shooting lower voltage to it, therefore the heat factor is lower, therefore the lamp will last a bit longer
It should work but the bulb will not burn as brightly as it would with 130 volts. However, it may last longer.
it will work but you wont be lighting up a stadium with it. It will last a lot longer and you can say you have mood lighting...italian mood lighting.....
giggity
yes.
An 130v bulb is a longer life bulb vs a 120v bulb,
also the light will be a bit warm, (not as blue).
most house current is around 125v it is not critical with a light
bulb.
Yes. Your power is 110-120V. It fluctuates depending on the number of people using it at a given time. 130V will burn slightly dimmer than it could burn(but not really measurable by the human eye)
