Does a low level flush toilet have the same "drowning power" as a sturdy upright job?
Question:
Answers:
No they are totally poo (no pun intended) I have my hand down ours once a week or more cos they get clogged very easily.
I assume you mean will it flush as well (or as poorly) as any other configuration of low flush toilet.
The answer is yes. That is part of the clever design that went into it. However all low flush ones are inferior to standard flush (now illegal) ones. The best are those that have an air pressure booster built in. They are effective but loud when they flush and are much more expensive. They too come in low level and upright.
no.
Yes, but only in the initial flushing action. The volume of water adds to the efficiency of the toilet but, with low-level types there is not as much continuing flow of water so some efficiency is lost.
I suggest using less toilet paper with each flush and flushing twice if necessary. We have the type you speak of and when we have guests they forget we have them and we have clogging going on.
yes
I don't think they are worth it. You have to flush more often, which to me defeats the purpose of buying one.
Try looking at the first flushing toilets by Mr. Crapper. The tank is suspended above his crapper by about 6 feet in the air. 6 times 2.31 is equal to 13.8 of water p.s.i. thus the water height has pressure at the bottom where it enters the tank. Whoosh goes the water to whisk away the waste. My, such ingenious inventions. This doesn't answer your question but can give you insight of what going on in a toilet tank system.
I don't know the answer but if you want to do some research I can come round and use your toilet.. It will save me cleaning the skid marks of my own loo !
Introducing the famous inventor BORIS BOG'DOWNABIT! He has recently returned from the USA flushed with success! During his lectures he explained the perils of the outside bog! I want a old fashion toilet that will flush a raincoat! With all the fiber that's in our food today and all the nimby's running around, we'll have to get litter boxes instead of these wussy half pint crappers! My God I'm a old coot!
It worked for my kittens the squeals were over before they begun.

Modern toilets use a syphon method in the bowl itself, so it's nothing to do with hieghts of tanks or having massive volumes of water, if it is set right it will work right, my problem is, what are you drowning? If it is a living thing there is no need these days with all the sanctuary's available. And how will you look if you get something stuck and have to call a plumber?
I don't think they do.solids never go down. I have to use the high pressure water from my shower to push floaters towards the bend n then flush.
