Rit Dye makes a color remover. Wash your item following the instructions on the package. It might not take out all the color in one try, so you may have to do it a 2nd and 3rd time. You can find the color remove in the laundry section in most stores.

instead of buying dye, buy a violet t-shirt

just buy a new one with color of light violet because if you buy dye and have it applied in the red colored T shirts the result will not be 100% violet
