Is it possible to reuse dried paint in a paint can?
Question:I need a touch to paint over a filled in hole, but I found the paint in the can was dried out. Since I need only a drop or two, is there any way to recycle the dry stuff at the bottom? This is a water based indoor paint.
Answers:
No...take the paint to a paint store, preferably the one it came from and have them match the paint and base. Some stores will allow you to purchase samples, such as Benjamin Moore. If you can't purchase a sample, the smallest amount you can buy is a quart size can. Cost about 15.00.
Could you remove the dried layer of paint and then stir what is left to get your small amount? There may be some difference in color. good luck.
sorry, you are out of luck. you don't want it to come off on a wall, the same applies to whatever it sticks to. not reusable.
Personally, if it's water based paint, I'd try to reconstitute a bit of it with water.. It might work well enough to touch up a filled in hole.
No . You need to get more paint. Consider painting the whole wall a different color.
