Can you buy a special paint to redo the back of an old mirror?

Painting the back of a piece of glass to make a mirror is different then reconditioning the back of an old mirror. An old mirror needs to be re silvered. This is usually costly, but may be worth the investment depending on the mirror. If you are not sure of the value, most any antique dealer can tell you if it's worth re silvering. They can also direct you to a qualified person that does re silvering. There are kits available if you search them out if you want to try this yourself. Good luck!
