what is your parnters worst job that made you mad too?

Answers:
I'm crap at DIY the worst thing I did was to try and trim the bottom off a door so the carpet would fit, ended up in a diagonal line looking like an alligators mouth with lots of uneven teeth, had to go and buy a new door..

I guess i must be lucky cos my man is really good at DIY.
The one difficulty i have is to get him off the sofa to do it in the first place!
My partners Worst DIY job has got to be the kitchen tiles and plug sockets, half the tiling is done and the sockets need screwing to the wall, I keep thinking one day I'm gonna get a shock from them, I call him "Half a job Harry". I've been waiting 3 years now.
My ex husband - Decided to cut an old electric cable from the ceiling and without checking if it was live or not so up he popped on a stool with a Stanley knife cut it bang smash he flies of the stool into the stairs knife sticking in the door and all power is blown! after checking he was OK I couldn't stop laughing and called him an idiot!!! Thankfully my new partner is excellent at DIY!
When I was a plumber, I had to fix a great one. A NASA rocket scientist decided to rebuild his toilets fill valve, with out turning the water off! At the time it was a $5 item. He did not have any parts.
my husband cant run a bead of caulk for nothing! his looks like a kid gone mad with a tube of toothpaste!
My baby's first Cot was made by my hubby, it was beautiful! After 7 months i could see the poor paint coming off and now the cot rests in peace! Its in pieces..
i just bought a new cot for my baby girl and my hubby is not allowed to do anymore D.I.Y jobs at home.
My partner's pretty hot at DIY, but my brother once put up a noticeboard in his kitchen by hammering a screw (not a nail) through the board into the wall so that it was sticking out about three inches, with plaster falling off everywhere. We've never let him live that one down!
Ex-husband can't hammer a nail without a written plan. He wanted to build some shelves in the basement to hold tote-bins of holiday decorations and camping stuff.

He measured PRECISELY how tall they are, so that there was a quarter-inch of clearance between the top of the bin and the next shelf. He tested each shelf by inserting a single bin. HOWEVER, he didn't measure side-to-side. The spot he allocated for three bins was a couple inches too narrow, so that only 2 bins can fit. There is still a stack of bins piled against the wall, and a mish-mosh of stuff piled in the spaces -- instead of the neat and tidy arrangement he planned FOR A WEEK.
When hubby was painting the ceiling in the kitchen without preparing it first. After a short time the paint was hanging from the ceiling in big pieces. I asked him so often to fix it - the answer was always "I'll do it next weekend". One day another piece of paint fell from the ceiling. This time I kept the piece.
A couple of days later hubby had to work late so I decided a stew would be a good meal. After I have served him his meal I went back to the kitchen because I wasn't sure if I could hide a smile when I hear the crunch crunch that will come from the piece of paint I used to "garnish" his stew.
I'm still proud about myself that I didn't laugh when he called and asked "What's that?". With the most innocent look on my face I answered "Oh, that must be a piece of the paint from the ceiling. Sorry, but I asked you so often to fix it."
The ceiling got a better paint job this time.
