How do i build a brick buttress to a leaning wall?

Question:

Answers:
there are small simple ones and there are massive ones on the sides of cathedrals ..if you want a small one its just a case of 2x4 side bricks.interlocking.

First thing - DON'T !!!

Get a structural engineer to look at the wall and get their advice.

The butress may not solve the problem & create others.
If the wall is starting to go then a butress is unlikely to be the answer. You don't say what the wall is - garden, house etc so it is hard to be specific.
if a wall is leaning in and its not intentional, as you can build structures this way, then the founds are structurally unsafe and a butt isn't going to help in the long run. if it isn't that bad i would try underpinning the wall
I would be very interested in finding out why the wall is falling before I just shoved something there to try and hold it. Could be the wall needs dropping and after laying new foundations rebuilding. Some jobs aren't worth doing yourself. and if you do, have you considered if you ever tried to sell the building, what would prospective new owners think about a fudged job.
