Plumber's advice?

Question:I have a new home and when I flush the toilet upstairs I get this annoying noise vibrating through the house, like a pipe or something. What can be done to get rid of this annoying occurrence?

Answers:
It sounds like you have a pipe that has somehow come a bit loose and is vibrating against a wall when water flows through it. If you have access to your pipes in your basement or crawlspace (assuming you have one or the other) and you have copper pipes, get copper pipe clasp (basically a curved strip of copper with holes in it for screws) and use it to secure the pipe to a stud. Don't make it excessively snug - leave room for a bit of movement and expansion. If your pipes are not copper, use a plastic one - not the best, but better than nothing.

The closer to the place where it is vibrating, the better, but even a distance away can sometimes serve to dampen the vibrations that are causing the problem.

Never use a pipe clasp made from a metal different from the metal the pipe is made out of.

These can be a nuisance. Good luck.

It is likely the cause is the washer in the ball valve vibrating as it closes, you could try either changing the valve, or reducing the pressure at the stopcock to the house.
turn your main water valve off . Flush all toilet and opened all forces . When they stop running turn forces off. the turn your main water valve on . When the toilets stop rugging the banging Should stop! If it does not stop bringing replace the main valve inside the toilet that the banging coming from
