How can you get a nest of honey bees to transfer from a tree hive to a regular bee hive without cutting the?

Question:tree down. They have been nesting in the tree for about 5 years.

Answers:
You must get the queen and many of the workers surrounding her and place in new hive, the others will follow...quite difficult if inside the tree. A beekeeper would smoke the bees to make them docile and try to access the queen and brood area. Good luck

I would suggest enlisting the help of an experienced bee-keeper; you can locate apiarists in the phone book. Good luck!
