What are some cool wood designs out there?

Question:i am designing a box for myself and i was wondering is there was some box designing styles out there to make the box more rustic and look kind of medevil looking. also any special wood buring tips that can incorperate color with the burn?=

Try using through tenons, and pegs to secure them. Then distress the whole thing with a chain. Stain it a dark color, and finish with a natural oil.
