How do I use a Sliding T Bevel for cutting angles on deck boards?

Question:I need step by step instructions on using this tool to cut angles on the side of my deck.

Answers:
A sliding bevel and a T square are very different tools. I think you are trying to use a sliding bevel to find odd angles and want to know how to do that. Hold the sliding bevel with the locking mechanism loosened against the two surfaces you are trying to match. Then lock the mechanism. Place the bevel on the board to be cut and draw a line along the edge of the bevel on the board. Extend the line with a straight edge such as a ruler if need be. You ready to cut with a circular or hand saw. If using a miter saw, use the sliding bevel against the fence and change the miter until the blade is flat against the other side of the sliding bevel and you are ready for multiple cuts.
