Staining 10mil cabinet veneer?

Question:I just had my cabinets refaced with 10 mil paperback alder veneer. I'm not too sure what type of stain to use. I'm afraid the water based stains may warp the veneer and ruin the glue. Any tips. Thanks in advance.

Answers:
Use Formby's stains for the best results. The water base stains wont harm the veneer because you don't soak the stain on but merely rub it in and wipe.

I do this all the time and water base and oil base alike will not ruin your veneer. btw i would go with general finishes. Very good product!
