Toilet Problem.?
Question:When i try n flush tha toilet it wont flush the lever u pull wont work and flush the stuff.
What do i do?
Answers:
take the lid of the toilet and see if the flapper has disconnected from the lever. some of them are plastic with a metal chain and the chain will break, some are all plastic. if it is all plastic then buy a new one if you have the chain kind and the chain is broken you can still buy a new one. they range from 3 bucks to 10 bucks depending on where you buy it from.
If you can, take the top off the cistern and manually push the mechanism to flush the toilet. That should flush away your business.
Then call a plumber to fix it properly
get anew ball **** kit it contains the part you need easy to fit and only cost about a fiver cheeper than a plumber
you can get a do it yourself kit and replace all the workings in your comode box very easily, less than 10 bucks.
Remove the cover from the tank . Look into the bottom you will see a rubber flapper with a chain and a nut behind the flush handle . Shut the faucet behind the toilet . With a pliers remove the nut from the handle , Remove the rubber flapper . Buy new handle and flapper at a hardware store. Replace them and turn the water on . this will solve the problem
Lift off the lid and see if the chain broke. Lift up the flap at the bottom of the tank. Hopefully it is not too gross in there.
You might have to replace the chain or the lever assembly if it is broken.
lift the lid, and see when you press the handle if the flapper valve rises up, you might need to replace it,
You need a new flush kit in tank of the tank of the toilet and a handle flusher that attaches to a chain an rubber stopper
