Best heat source for rental house?

Question:I had new gas lines put in several years ago, but the gas company wont turn it on because they say they keep finding leaks. So I bought an electric hot water heater and I need to know whats available in electric heating. Its a very old L-shaped house.

Answers:
Well if you have the ductwork, you can unstall a heat pump. They do both heating and cooling and they dont use any gas. Just electricity. Trane, Carrier, York all sell them. If you can find a Goodman, go with that they're cheaper.

If you dont have the ductwork, electric baseboards would be the only way that's efficient. Otherwise, you would have to install an electric boiler, sweat in hot water baseboards and the circulator to move it around. That's big bucks though.

Electric baseboard electric heaters come to mind, but they are kind of expensive to operate. If I was doing the work, I would back up and repair the gas lines and go with a furnace.
