How can i unclog the toilet?

Question:had some company over. someone clogged the toilet. i bought liquid plumber and plunged it but it isnt working even days later. what should i do? ive never had a problem like this before in my life. i live in an apt but dont want to call management. it is embarassing to me. plus i didnt do it.

Answers:
you don't need liquid plumber. the plunger should do it assuming nothing out of the ordinary was flushed down there. get a bigger plunger.

Plunge it again and again.I assume the water level drops after a time, right? so it will eventually go down. Try a better plunger. If all else fails.then it's rotorooter time.
Well, you could go to a hardware store and buy a drain snake and try that. Since you don't live in an apartment, you really can't go on the roof and snake out the air vent to the bathroom, and you can't really go to the main cleanout and snake from there. So, about the only thing you can do is snake out the toilet itself. If that doesn't work, you're going to have to contact management. If your toilet has been clogged for several days, it's a health hazard dude. It HAS to be fixed whether you're embarrassed or not.
Plunging is your best bet but if that is not working you could rent a snake. They are pretty gross though so if you don't like handling the equipment just call someone to do if for you. If you don't want to call your building management call roto-rooter. I've had good luck with that company. The plumbers are nice and uniformed, well identified and they will come on short notice.

I would call management though and deal with the embarrassment. They've probably seen worse.
lol..plunge the hell outta it if that dont work then call a plumber
if you do not have a plunger. a great idea would be a wire hanger. the one you get from the cleaners. untwist it and put it in the toilet that should move whatever is stuck.
Have you tried using a plunger? I've found that this works best with toilet clogs. Did you company have children with them? If so, perhaps they flushed some object down the toilet. A pluger might loosen it up. If not, I think you need to call management. There's nothing embarassing about having a clogged toilet.
snake the drain then try it after uve removed the snake then repeat also find out if any other people in ur building have the same problem. cuz if they do it might have a problem with the sewage pipes
Sounds like something that shouldn't have gone down the toilet did. You can rent a closet auger at any hardware store, but if that doesn't retrieve the item, management will have to retain a plumber. No, you didn't do it, one of your guests did, but your signature is on the lease.
Plunge it! If that doesn't work, use a snake on it and it should definately work.. this is what a plumber would probably do.
You are foolish for not calling the management. This sort of thing happens all the time and they would reather you not do a lot of stupid stuff to their plumbing.
Call them, tell them exactly what you have told us and let them handle it. They may look at you like you are an idiot, but if you mess up their plumbing they will really be pissed off.
If your electrical outlet stopped working, would you not tell them about that? Grow up. It's not a big deal.
You need to buy a better plunger.
rent a air operated plunger. its like a gun , you pump it up stick it in the toilet and let the air blow it clean
