In the past week, I have found dried leaves in two of my air conditioner vents.?

Question:My AC system is working and cooling properly otherwise. How can leaves get into the vent system and what should I do. I am barely getting by financially on a fixed income and cannot afford to spend very much

Answers:
If you are talking about the floor or wall registers that air flows out of as your vents, the only way to get something in there is drop it in there. Leaves cannot get by the filter in the furnace to travel up the duct to the resister. It is possible that the leaves are there since the house was constructed though it seems unlikely to me. The leave shouldn't hurt anything unless there is a whole lot of them blocking air flow.
