Can i use white spray paint as a base coat instead of primer?

Question:im spraying my kids doll house. will it matter what color i use as a topcoat?

Answers:
The primer is formulated to bond to the surface being painted so the paint will stick. White spray paint is not primer. It may look good for a while, but it will flake off and look like an amateur painted it. If you have the right primer, you can use any color topcoat you want.

No...get the primer.
