How to install a toilet in the basement of a new build home?

Question:We have a 2 year old home and are finishing the basement. Tha next step is to install the toilet (we got the shower done already.) There is a 3 inch diamater pipe about 1 foot long sticking out of the cement where the toilet is to go.

1. How much of the pipe do you leave sticking out of the cement when you cut it.
2.who do you attach the flange to the cement.
3.How do you blot the toilet to the cement floor?

The rest seems pretty straight forward.
Thanks

Answers:
Have you finished the floor? If you have, the pipe should be cut flush with the finished floor. Purchase an inside 3" toilet flange, and primer and glue the flange inside the pipe, making sure you keep the flange slotted bolt holes, in the proper position. Use a rotary hammer drill to drill holes in the floor, and insert a plastic anchor, then use brass screws to fasten the flange to the floor. Install the wax ring and bolts, and set the toilet. use shims, if the floor isn't level, and caulk around the bottom of the bowl, where it meets the floor. Good luck!

The way it was left, I bet they planned that you would put in a floor.
You can do it, but it is very detailed, maybe you should get an estimate from a plumber and try to pick his brain
cut the pipe flush w/ the floor. they sell a flange that will have a rubber gasket on it for your exact application. there will be 6 holes to drill w/ a concrete bit and use plastic anchors. use JOHNNY BOLTS inserted in the long holes of the flange to hold the bowl. it will come w/ instructions but this should point you the right direction
