A trick I love for my sewing machine is using a post-it note pad. Line it up at the spot you'd normally use a seam guide and stick it down. The low tack of the glue doesn't harm your machine, and once it loses it's stickiness, just peel off the bottom note.
Also, I personally now use a magnetic seam guide since my machine didn't come with a spot to screw a guide into.
Hope that helps!
Place a piece of masking tape the desired seam width away from the machine needle (to the right of it) and guide your fabric along the edge of the masking tape.
Put a piece of masking tape down, and mark your measurements from the center of the needle 3/8, 4/8,5/8. Works fine...I use one for really deep seam allowances that go beyond my guide.
Why don't you make your own. Use a small piece of plastic and double sided sticky tape.

There should be a set of engraved lines on your footplate (the metal plate that goes under the sewing foot). You can extend any of those lines by cutting a strip of freezer tape and taping it parallel to the sewing foot the same distance from the needle as the width of the seam you want to make.
