Candle sticks with the mold. Cannot release the candle from mold. Please help.?


Question:I am new to candle making. In a new cleaned mold, i burshes with little vegetable oil and add molten wax at about 180-200F. It was allowed to cool for 12 hrs. After that i tap the side of the mold but the candle cannnot take be taken out.

put in the freezer for 20 minutes it will pop up easily


Try putting it in the freezer for a couple of hours and then gently tap the sides to get it out, this should work. But be very gentle when you tap it and after you take it out of the freezer wait for about 5 minutes, then tap..gently...Good Luck, hope this helps..
grease your molds with Crisco before filling and then freeze them for a while. This helped me.
You can either invest in a can of mold release (which can usually be found at any of your local craft and hobby stores) or you can simply put in hte freezer for about 15-20 mins and then remove and it should slide right out.
