Suction cups won't stick to bathtub wall?
Question:I'm trying to put a mirror & shampoo basket up on the bathtub wall (I have thye plastic molding type) & they just keep falling down. Any suggesttions to getting them to stay up? I was thinking of putting a little bit of caulking on the suction cups, but will I easily be able to remove that later on? Any tips from anyone please?

Make sure it is cleaned well w/ rubbing alcohol and dried completely before putting up...
If you have any "texture" to your walls, they might not work at all...at least I never had good luck when my walls were like that...
Put super or wood glue in the suction cups.
they never work for me either. Try those new things for hanging pictures, etc., I think by 3M, that claim to come off the wall clean when you're ready to take it off. Available any drugstore.
Yes the surface must be clean, but most importantly the surface has to be a smooth one so air cannot get under the cups. They will not stick to a textured surface that some tub walls have.
I always thought you were suppose to wet them first. I bought a mirror for my shower a while back and had extreme trouble keeping it on because the suction cups had hard plastic over them and I couldn't press it hard enough to get it to stick...one of these days I'll take a hammer to it :)
Clean the wall and the suction cups. If either one is a little dirty they won't stick very well at all.
And yes, the surface has to be smooth.
Try cleaning with a vinegar and water solution prior to placing the suction cups on.
They may not be sticking because of the wetness and other build ups on the surface. Clean it thoroughly and let it dry before putting them back again. Another alternative would be to get the holders that have sticky tape in the back, they work better.
