What is the name of recycled rubber pellets?

Question:A friend of mine told me of these recycled rubber pellets that were used to fill in her old crawlspace. A contractor had done this. Apparently they are these soft and pliable and they get compressed down to a smooth finish by running a hot roller over them. They were installed over the top of the crushed rock and the vapor barrier. I am trying to find out what it is called. And, no, it is not the same thing as the shredded tire stuff you see at playgrounds sometimes. They come in a shape that is more like a large pebble. Anybody know what I am talking about?

Answers:
I used to work at a place that took old tires and recycled them by crumbling them up into what they called "crumb rubber". There were a ton of uses for this product. The company name is Nebraska Rubber Innovations, Inc. You can get the product in loose crumb rubber or made into mats. Check it out.not sure it's what you're looking for, but worth a shot.
