So... I puked in my bathroom sink and now the drain is clogged. What can I do to clear it?
Question:I'm currently abroad living in student housing. I don't have many supplies or anything... something simple would be best.

Products like Liquid Plumber or Drano are made for this kind of clog. The chemicals in them are designed to break down the proteins that make up biological clogs like hair, or in this case- vomit.

You can disconect the pipe where the bend is, put a pot or bucket underneath to catch the crap that wil fall out. After that just rinse the pipe w/ a hose and make sure its all clear and you will be good to go. Odds are it clogged where it makes a sort of U shape because sludge/vomit will build up there. hmmm, is there a plunger near by? maybe try to get some out of the sink hole with your hands. If there's something like drano near by use it.
use a toothbrush if its reachable i mean the end not the part u brush ur teeth with thats what i use
pour drano or liquid plummer in it or try plungering it out after adding a little water.
Use a rag or towel to dredge up whatever went in there. Once you cleared most of that out, try flushing water through it. Discard and yuck that you took out. And advice for you, the toilet is a much better receptacle than the sink, people brush their teeth there. Ewwwwwwwww.
You might have to clean the s bend out or go buy some draino, this will dissolve the stuff down there.
The easiest and cheapest way is to get some bicarbonate of soda and a bottle of vinegar. Put half a cup of bicarb down the sink - have the plug close at hand - now pour half a cup of vinegar down the drain and whack the plug in immediately and hold it down tight. The chemical reaction creates a gas that pushes any blockage out and down the sewer.
Next time if you are over refreshed and feel the need - use the dunny - much bigger hole and less tendancy to block.
Use a cup of vinager, a cup of baking soda and wash it down with boiling water.

Borrow a plunger from a neighbor. Put a small amount of water in the sink. Hold a wet rag over the overflow hole while plunging the drain.
