How do I fix my couch from sinking in?

Question:I have a couch that I got from my parents, and its in really good condition except is slouches in when you sit on it. Is there anyway to fix this? I am looking for something kinda permanent that would make it feel firm again sitting on it.

Answers:
my boyfriend had the same issue. He put some 2x4s underneath the cushions. You could try that or a piece of plywood.

Sounds like either the springs are shot or the foam in the cushions is worn out. You can purchase replacement foam; and the springs can be replaced, but this should be done by a professional.
The plywood business works for a while but becomes extremely uncomfortable in a short time.
carol wrights makes a couch board that makes them straight again.just put a piece on board under it.
just buy a new one
