How do I wire rope lighting?

Question:I want to put rope lighting above my cabinets, but they are not all in a line. There is 1 cabinet then the window (no cabinet above and then a big section of cabinets, then a break, then the refrigerator w/ cabinets. How can I get all of these cabinets to have rope lights all on the same switch? Also, can I cut rope lights to fit the top of my cabinets, so there is no overhang?

Answers:
You would have to put switched outlets above each cabinet section on the same switch . Some rope lights can be cut and some cant usually the cheaper ones you cant cut
