That Toilet Tank AGAIN?
Question:Just how easy is it to replace the flusher. Seems when the plumber replaced the old one he put a cheapo one in there that keeps falling off- and the plumbers tape I tried is not doing the job. I used to do these things myself but over the years have lost the nerve. Can some one walk me through changing the flusher?
Thanks
Answers:
Get a one piece flush valve without the old ball and arm. Turn the water off to the toilet, remove the water line from the bottom of the tank, remove the nut that holds the old flush valve, then replace the old washers withe the new ans mount your new valve in the same hole. be careful not to tighten the nut too much or you might crack the tank. reconnect the waterline and connect the small line from the flush valve to the over flow pipe and turn on the water. there will be instructions on how to adjust the new valve. Hope I haven't confused you! good luck!
its not very hard at all, go to store purchase a good reliable flusher, follow the directions and it should'nt be a problem at all, if its only your flusher...maybe should take ten minutes at most
it is very easy to chance the flusher part in your toilet tank but you have to get a new flusher part before you take the old one out
