Can a water-well be renewed to be used for irragation?

Question:A water well on my propery has not been used in 15 years due to local water supply. Supposedly neighbors in the same area use their wells for irragation, and other non-potable uses. But mine pumps dry in 30 to 45 minutes. Is it possiable my well has dryed up due to lack of use? Can the well be renewed without major expenses?

Answers:
Call a driller, The well you have is a residential well. Normally, a well that is designated for irrigation will be drilled below the aquifer to assure an adequate supply of water. In the state of Nevada, the driller has to apply to the state for a permit for this type of well. Then you have to pay the state fees for the permit, and your property has to have water rights etc, etc, etc. Good Luck

Get a well service to give you an estimate. That will tell you if you need to drill or clean it out.
if the well is pumping dry after 30 minutes use it means the water table is insufficient . the pump intake will have to be lowered deeper into the well or the pump may have to be removed and the well may have to be drilled deeper check with a well driller in your area to get a survey done and they will be able to tell you your options
You can drill it deeper for a better water supply or you can install some sort of water holding tank and only run the well for 15 min every so often so it doesn't run out of water.
