You don't have to hire someone for this-BUT.There are a lot of things to concider before digging and setting the brick. It takes careful planning to do it right.
The best thing you can do is get a few books at your local library and create your plan. The website below will give you an idea of what to concider.
Enjoy your garden this season!

what is it for ;--------------dig footings mix concrete5of1/2inch chippings and dust to1 of cement .level trench using wooden pegs.pour in concrete up to top of pegs .wait to set build your wall.
DIG THE FOUNDATION 18 INCHES DEEP. HAVE A STRAIGHT TIMBER BOARD AND A PIECE OF CHALK TO MARK IT OUT ON THE CONCRETE. HAVE A LONG SPIRIT LEVEL. DONT MAKE THE CEMENT FOR THE BRICKS MORE THAN HALF INCH DEEP. TAKE IT SLOW ON THE FIRST LAYER OF BRICKS. YOU CAN CUT A BRICK IN HALF WITH A CHISEL. AFTER THREE LAYERS MAKE SURE ITS UPWRIGHT WITH THE SPIRIT LEVEL, ITS EASY....JUST DO YOUR BEST. HAL FROM ENGLAND
